CyberGuard
Within the project, youth workers and young people from Bulgaria, Greece, and the Czech Republic learned how to recognize, prevent, and address cyberbullying while developing digital literacy and safer online behavior
About the project
“CyberGuard” is an Erasmus+ partnership project aimed at preventing cyberbullying among young people and creating a safer digital environment for them.
The project focuses on digital literacy, recognizing and responding to cyberbullying, as well as building participants’ confidence and encouraging responsible online behavior.
The initiative is implemented through a partnership between organizations from the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Greece and has a duration of 18 months.
Project Goals
- To strengthen youth workers’ expertise in preventing and responding to cyberbullying
- To develop young people’s digital skills and awareness of safer online behavior
- To promote teamwork, shared responsibility, and contribution to the school community
- To actively involve young people in developing strategies to address cyberbullying
- To encourage young people to participate in awareness-raising campaigns
Activities
- Training for youth workers on “Digital Tools and Strategies for Cyberbullying Prevention”
- Local workshops for the digital empowerment of young people in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Greece
- Development of a practical guide for preventing and addressing cyberbullying
- CyberGuard Days to raise awareness in each partner country
Results
Trained and confident youth workers able to recognize and address cyberbullying
Digitally literate and more confident young people equipped to protect themselves online
A practical guide with good practices, available to educators, youth workers, and policymakers
Stronger cooperation established between youth organizations in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Greece
