Part of the “My Career Path” program
An educational game and a set of activities for career guidance and developing strengths
Helps students discover which fields, activities and career directions best match their interests, aptitudes and strengths – and test them through real action.
Ready to use in class, with physical materials, the “Zones” questionnaire, student instructions, a teacher’s handbook and online resources.
Can be used as individual activities or as a complete set of career guidance gamified activities.

Before a student chooses a profession, a subject or a university, they need at least a first idea about something far more important:
Many young people know only a handful of professions and often start their career choice with the question “What job could I do?”.
“The Alchemist” turns the process around.
First, students explore their own interests, abilities and strengths.
They discover which activities draw them in, what comes naturally to them and which fields they want to explore in more depth.
They look for recurring clues in their own experience and learn to recognise not only what they like, but also where they have the potential to grow.
They work with a system of Zones that helps them organise their interests and abilities and connect them with different fields of activity.
Instead of looking for one “right profession”, students start comparing options against what they know about themselves.
They don’t stop at a test or a self-assessment. They choose a skill, a project or a real action to test their interest and potential in practice.
“The Alchemist” does not promise to tell a student which profession to choose.
The gamified activities help them gather better information about themselves – a foundation for their next career exploration.
Students work through questions such as:

The Zones are at the heart of the gamified activities.
They help students explore different areas of interest and potential and discover which of them are strongest for them.
Students:
The result is not a label saying “you are this or that”.
The result is a clearer starting point for career exploration.
A ready-made career guidance kit you can use directly with students.

You can use “The Alchemist” according to your time and your goal.
Choose an activity with the “Zones” cards and use it within a single lesson.
Work on a specific aspect: interests, strengths, Zones, skills or real action.
Students move step by step from exploring themselves to discovering their strongest Zones and testing them through action.
When you use all the gamified activities, the activities follow a logical sequence, because each step builds on the previous one.
Students don’t get a ready answer to the question “What should I become?”
They gather information about themselves.
Across the activities, they:

A questionnaire can give you a starting point.
But career guidance doesn’t end with a result.
That is why “The Alchemist” combines:
questions about yourself + physical cards + a questionnaire + information about the Zones + discussion + real action.
Students don’t just get a result.
They examine it, compare it with their own experience and start testing what it means for them.
